“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Frequently asked questions:
Do I (or my loved one) need to be a member of the church in order to have a funeral here?
The short answer is “no.” The longer answer is that you are always welcome here, and we hope you will become a part of our church community.
How many people can fit in the church?
The maximum church capacity is 180 people.
How much does it cost to have a funeral at the church?
Funeral costs typically include an honorarium for the minister, a payment to the organist, and building use fee. Please contact the church office for more details.
Why are there fees for a funeral?
The honorarium for our minister honors the time spent preparing for the service and caring for your family during this time of loss. The payment to our organist acknowledges the time spent in practice preparing for the service. The building use fee honors the time spent by our church Sexton, who manages the building during the service and makes sure that all runs smoothly. It also covers the cost of cleaning the church afterward.
We recognize that this is a very difficult time for your family, and we work closely with local funeral homes to simplify administrative matters for families. Whenever possible, church fees are included on the bill from the funeral home. In addition, some fees are waived for members.
Will the minister come to the grave site?
Yes, if that is the wish of the family.
How do we set a date for a funeral?
Please call the church office at (262) 275-2808 to learn more and to make the necessary arrangements.
